ABC Studios and studio-based Brillstein Entertainment are producing. The sitcom is described as a new take on Roseanne, and stars Alley as a very opinionated wife/mother who, along with her family, the Manzanis, moves to repressed country-club town. –
Kirstie Alley started re-making a name for herself when she jumped on the Twitter bandwagon, and engaged fans in a beguiling bit of banter. Her 873,832 Twitter followers, along with some fanciful dance moves, kept her in the limelight of the popular Dancing With the Stars, almost to the end.
It appears that ABC liked what they saw, realized that Alley’s star was rising once again, and quickly snatched her up to headline this quirky new comedy. Brilliant!
