The YouTube singing sensation, Rebecca Black, tantalized the masses again on July 18, 2011, with word that her second single “My Moment” was about to explode be posted Online. The Internet world sprang to attention, just waiting to exhale with relief, once the song was revealed on Rebecca’s very own website, at the fate-filled hour of 8 p.m.
Just in case you think I jest, Black’s first musical foray, “Friday,” was called by many listeners, “the worst song ever,” but the pop video made this younger-looking Demi Lovato a household name, and even a few riches, I suspect. The catchy tune went viral, with a multitude of parodies fashioned from it, and the accompanying video instantly had millions of hits. Heck, even the video response that I’m posting, earned the producer 4,096,317 views the last time I checked.
What I didn’t know, was that the producers actually slightly skewed her voice, making it sound like she couldn’t carry a tune, but if she can belt out part of our National Anthem, and sound better than Lady Gaga, she may just have some real talent hidden behind all the “stuff.” Check out the video to see what I mean.
Haters beware, Rebecca Black just may surprise us all.
