Evel Dick’s sudden and mysterious departure from the “Big Brother’ house, left many fans scratching their heads, as they tried to understand what dastardly circumstance would sway their favorite evil commando’s mind, to actually walk out the ‘Big Brother’ door forever, therefore giving up the chance to win the coveted title of two-time winner. A feat that has never been accomplished in this strategic game of wit and wiles.
True to Internet form, only hours after the door closed behind ED (Evel Dick), many crazy rumors began to surface. In ED’s video apology he debunks the various theories such as, he was jailed, kicked off the show, and loved ones were in a car accident. The most idiotic rumor was the death of ED’s brother, mainly because one doesn’t even exist , but heck, this is the Internet, a place were we can fabricate friends, pummel our enemies, or just plain have a good time making up stories. ED does in fact, lead us to believe that he was being truthful about not speaking to his daughter Danielle for three years, but I’m not convinced, are you?
What I found interesting is the fact that Big Brother never called ED to come to the diary room over the loud-speaker. Why is that odd? Well, Big Brother uses the loud-speaker as command and control. All weekend (while watching ‘Big Brother After Dark’) they called Rachel to the diary room over and over, and used it to demand that certain hamsters houseguests put their microphones back on.
Also during his nine-minute ramble, ED doesn’t really tell his fans a whole lot of information, and because I love conspiracy theories, I’m going to give you one. It appears to me that ED was silently lured to the diary room to keep the other house guests from even knowing that he was gone. They spent hours speculating on where he was, what he was doing and if his disappearance was a ‘Big Brother’ twist. That makes for good after hours viewing, if nothing else. Of course, it could be because CBS was hoping to convince him to stay, after they gave him whatever news he was given. On the other hand, maybe, as a friend has suggested, CBS actually got wind that Rachel planned to put ED and Danielle on the chopping block, and planned on ED getting the first axe. By having him disappear before that happened, Danielle would still be safe, and they could re-introduce him after some of the newbies get vaporized. Why would CBS care? Well, wouldn’t the ratings skyrocket if, at the end, if all of our favorites battled it out at the end?
If this theory is wrong, I apologize to ED and the person whose identity he is preserving, but ED isn’t called Evel Dick cause he is a truth-telling magnanimous do-gooder, is he?
